Winter Wonderland

Here's a good view of my weekend. Snow, snow, and more snow. Cur went camping with the Young Men in our ward over Friday night (he'll have to post about that later) and I spent the evening hanging out with my cousins, Ashley & Megan. By the time I left my mom's house at midnight, Provo was blanketed in snow. I made it home without crashing into something on the icy roads (barely) thanks to heartfelt prayers and lucky maneuvering. I hate driving in the snow. It. Is. The. Worst. On the other hand, I have grown to love it in some ways. It's so peaceful the way it blankets everything.

I took these pics outside our place.

One more thing for tonight...

A friend posted this on her blog and I love it.

Halfway There and Counting!

I'm 22 weeks tomorrow and I'm getting bigger by the second! But first things first, check out our little boy curbug. Isn't he the cutest thing ever?!!! These pics are from my 20 week ultrasound. Cur had class so my mom came with me to the appointment. She kept saying "my ultrasound was nothing like this!" It really is amazing what technology can do. I got to see the 4 chambers of this little guy's heart, check out the cerebellum in his brain, see his stomach, the length of his femur, and on and on. It was incredible.

Cur likes this one because it looks like he's smiling. A moment later he opened up and stuck his whole hand in his mouth!

The money shot. Definitely a boy!

There it is! There's no mistaking it. I. Am. Pregnant. Seriously. I have to tell myself sometimes that this is really happening. It seems like time has flown by so quickly! This baby is going to be here in no time and I'm feeling a bit unprepared at the moment (although, can you really be fully prepared for something like this?!).

So, I've decided I'm going to do this birth all natural. I'm going to deliver in a hospital and everything, so nobody panic, but I don't want an epidural or pitocin or anything. I know some of you may think I'm off my rocker but for those of you that are behind me, or have experience with natural childbirth, how did you do it? I'm trying to figure out the best way to go about it. I've looked into hypnobirthing (sounds much weirder than it is), the bradley method, and I'm also thinking about asking my neighbor, a yogi & meditation extraordinaire to give me some private lessons on meditation and pain management. Obviously I have to pick a method pretty quickly so I can start practicing but I'm curious to hear what you have to say on the matter. I also need to figure out how I'm going to get Cur in on it since I will need his support more than anyone else's (one reason I like the idea of a class so we can learn about labor and pain management together). Any thoughts?

Oh and here's a belly shot from today:

Best of 2009

Cbug and I had a great time over Christmas break in Arizona, however, both of us came home sick! So while Cbug is resting up I got thinking about how great 2009 has been for us. Here's a review of some of our best pictures and fun over the past year.

We had a Heyman Sunday dinner at our place. Cousin Matt and Brooke with cousin Aaron and Naida along with Sam and Alli.

Ryan and Savannah came out of the woodworks to say "hi".

I spend 75% of my life of 2009 in the Tanner Building. It is fitting dark clouds are looming above.

Taylor and McGuiver come for lacrosse camp. We do guy things....

....like go to a demolition derby!

Cbug eats it up!

We hit the slopes (and I remember how fun snowboarding is)!

We honeymoon in Playa del Carmen, Mexico during the Swine Flu outbreak.

We have a BLAST snorkeling and enjoying the beautiful water scenery.

Our hotel view:

We scooter around the island of Cozumel:

Halloween with our MBA buddies:

We move into my parents' condo:

We get the cutest niece ever, Macy Paige Heyman.

We go to Loa, UT to fish with Uncle Merrill.

The Heyman's do Hawaii!

People get crazy and jump out of a plane, including my MOM!

We go fishing and almost everyone gets seasick!

A jellybean shows up in Candace's belly!

Chelsea comes for a summer time visit. Her and Cbug get married in the SLC temple!

They hit the trails.
