Reed Boy
The last 12 days have been amazing with this sweet boy. I couldn't ask for a better baby. While becoming a stay-at-home-mom requires some adjusting (and sleep deprivation), I am blessed to have a boy that makes it pretty easy for me. He sleeps like an angel (2 4-hour stretches last night!), couldn't be cuter if he tried, loves to snuggle with his mama, and is an all-around good boy. I am IN LOVE.
I tortured him with a sponge bath yesterday and he wore himself out crying. Here's the aftermath. See what I mean about sleeping like an angel?
Chillin in his bouncer. He likes it in here.
Love to kiss these little fingers and toes.
Of course, no post would be complete without mentioning our Suns. Can you believe that win last night?! Even Reed was in on the action. Thanks Uncle Justin for the outfit!

Define "Craziness"
- Rennovations on the kitchen, laundry room, guest bathroom, and master bathroom (imagine 2-4 workers in your house 5 days a week)
- Candace deciding to quit her job instead of taking maternity leave
- Curtis applying and interviewing for multiple jobs
- Finals
- MBA Graduation
- Curtis accepting a position as Phoenix Account Manager with Crexendo Web Marketing
- Preparing to move to Arizona
- Purchase of a car
- the arrival of our son, Reed!!
It has been CRRRRAZZY!
Cbug's Aunt Jenn said, "I was thinking of you guys and a psychology class I took in college came to mind. We learned that the most stressful things in life include searching for a job, starting a new job, moving, rennovating, and having a baby. You guys are doing all of that at once!" Jenn, don't forget the stress of finals or buying a car!
Luckily, we've had a lot of support from friends and family during this time.
With your help, we've been able to remain hopeful and see many blessings develop. Thank you to all of you who have shown us support and love. Your kindness has inspired us.
While I'm thinking of all of the amazing things people have done for us, I can't help but brag about my mother-in-law Denise and my mom Diane. Denise, who invites us over every week for wonderful Sunday dinners, was with Cbug and I all night and morning as Reed was born. Candace tells me Denise was a big help at his birth and in her recovery. Denise is constantly checking on us and bringing over goodies.
My mom could not wait to fly out to hold Reed. Typical of my mom, she did a lot more than hold Reed. She spent most of her time in Provo packing boxes for our move to Chandler and cleaning our home. As much as we wanted her to slow down and relax during her visit, she was on a mission.
I start training tomorrow in Orem and then we pack and move next week. We'll miss all of the good people in Provo and the fun activities enjoyed here. See you in AZ!

Reed Curtis Heyman

She gave birth naturally and did a wonderful job. A nurse said that in 10 years of doing her work, Candace is in the top 5 best natural births. I know that made Candace feel good. She began pushing at 5:30am; we were up all night and are recovering with Reed in our arms now.
Reed has a fair amount of brown hair, the color of Candace's. His eyes are a dark blue. He looks and acts 100% healthy. He loves to snuggle and I don't know if its possible to love something more than how much we love him.
I couldn't be happier. I'm so proud of Candace hanging in there and we feel so blessed to have Reed in our lives. Thank you for your prayers and support. We'll post pictures asap.

Birthday Bug

I really am so lucky to be married to Candace. She has a number of unique qualities that make her such a wonderful woman.

Maybe you've heard of the book "The 5 Love Languages". It details how people like to show and receive love in particular ways. Candace's FAVORITE way to show and receive love is through QUALITY TIME. It is crazy how she loves being near me and cherishes her time with me.
She will do ANYTHING I will do. For example, a few years ago I decided to take a night class (economics) at a community college. Cbug would drive from Phoenix to Mesa after a busy work day just to sit next to me during class and hold my hand! THAT is love!
Not very many women will setup a folding chair along a river on a cold November day just to watch her husband fish....

...but my Cbug does!

We always have a fun time doing things together.

Even though she's a girly girl, she can handle herself just fine with the boys.

Candace is extremely bright. She graduated from a top 3 interior design program and I regularly hear from her peers how talented she is.
She's also a very hard worker. There are few things she can't do!
Another unique thing about Candace is her authenticity and sincerity. She is true to those things and people that matter most. She does not waiver. How rare in today's society to stay true and committed!
From time to time, people ask me, "How did you trick her into putting up with you?"
Well, one thing is for sure. She knows how to dish it out, too!
...cuz she's already the best wife!
