Three Months & Counting.

Can you believe Reed has grown from this....

 to this?!
Our little Roo Bear is our favorite thing ever.  Here's a little bit about him:
  • He loves his daddy and lights up when Cur comes home.
  • Reed has slept through the night for over a month now.  HUGE blessing to his mama.
  • He is a very strong boy.  He has had really great head control from early on and loves to stand on his chubby legs.
  •  I joke his legs are like upside-down pyramids.  They start at the top with the biggest chunky thighs and end on tiny, puffy feet.
  • Reed hates a dirty diaper.  He's instantly unhappy when he wets or poops.
  • He has belly laughed for me a few times but Diane can get him to coo and giggle like no one else.
  • Roo Bear has the most beautiful big blue eyes and he's recently grown some pretty long eyelashes.
  • He's impatient like his mama.
  • Reed loves to be held.  He especially loves to be up high over your shoulder like a sack of potatoes.  This has always been his favorite position.  He must like to see what's going on.
  • If he's fussy or crying and you step one foot outside, he will instantly stop.  He's definitely an outside boy.
  • If all else fails getting him to sleep, put him in the stroller and go for a walk or have Diane do the "Grandma Dance" with him.  He loves both and he always ends up asleep.
  • At his 2 month doctor appointment, Reed was in the 80th percentile for height and weight and 40th percentile for head size.
  • He loves his "friends" on his bouncer.  He sits there happily smiling and talking to them.
  • Reed drools non-stop.  I've resorted to putting a bib on him most every day or else his shirt ends up soaked.  Because of his drooling, Cur has nicknamed him "Goo Bear" instead of "Roo Bear" since he gets his "goo" all over you.
  • I have a feeling he'll be a full-fledged thumb sucker.  He's fully found it only a few times but he loves to suck on his entire fist and he's not shy about being loud about it.  He makes some serious smacking noises.
  • Reed's ears are exact copies of his daddy's except they stick out a little more like his mama's.
  • He sleeps with his arms up over his head like you're about to put him under arrest.  It's so funny.
  • He loves bath time and the swimming pool.  He fell fast asleep in a floaty thing the other day in the pool.  Loves water like his mama.
  • He has toes just like his Grandpa Scott.
  • You can see his bottom two teeth under the gums and he'll gnaw on your finger if you let him.
  • Reed recognizes familiar faces now even at a distance.
  • Roo Bear has the softest skin ever.  Really.  Silky smooth.
